Located near the cathedral in the beautiful Freiberger Altstadt, the rooms in the really old house make a rustic but not a cheesy impression. Although the staff wears an old-century staff clothing, it does not exaggerate to the Middle Ages. The map is in old German writing, which may be difficult today, and here and there is something stalked. The amount of food offered is pleasant (but nothing for vegans/vegetarians). Defendable, meaty cuisine is offered here. And it can be seen and tasted. The honeycock in quinces sauce with rosemary apples is a poem that was served half the beautifully glazed chicken in a pan with a sharp knife that was put in. That's what happened. Even most other guests we celebrated the silver wedding of my parents were very satisfied. Also note: here there are various varieties of the good Messner Schwerdter beer, which you will not get anywhere else in Freiberg. The free-seat, where live music is always played, is very idyllic.

We were wandering the streets of Freiberg on a Saturday night looking for a restaurant for my Wife Pescatarian , Sister Lactose intolerant , Mum, Dad me all omnivores . We were getting lightheaded stumbled on this charming restaurant let me say didn't we strike it lucky. Armed only with schoolboy German me and with the help of fantastic members of staff who had little English but couldn't have been more helpful we ordered devoured some fantastic food beer! . A fantastic end to a very short stay in this lovely town of Freiberg, Saxony not to be confused with the other Freiburg with a u .
The location is out of the way, but it is a lovely spot to have a meal! We ate outside and loved the cozy setting. The menu was imaginative and the food very well prepared. There were several families with children there when we were. Service was excellent and the food was VERY good.
