Don's Oasis - Freeport

2/2020 visited the new Oasis after the reopening. It needed a facelift and it got one. First, as you come into the door is a beautiful brand new door, then come in the entire inside has been updated. It is open, bright and fresh inside. Some stands and added a variety of new tables both low and high above. The Smoke House Platter did not disappoint with drawn pork, brisket and sausage. Delicious with good Bbq sauce to skip it. The sweet potato saucer side is amazing! The Eggcellent Burger, burger with fried egg and bacon, perfectly cooked and tasty as well. Offer both breakfast and lunch. She also told us they supply!!! - Former Don's Oasis: Great house style cooked food. Wide choice of choice, breakfast or lunch. Fast friendly service. Very meaningful

This restaurant offers delicious food at reasonable prices. While the menu isn't extensive, you'll definitely leave satisfied. Don, the owner, is a fun conversationalist who treats you like family, and he makes an effort to keep his prices affordable. The breakfast cookies and gravy are particularly tasty. His Wels filet is a standout dish. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy a hearty meal in a lively atmosphere, all without breaking the bank.

Don's Oasis is our favorite spot for breakfast each day. It's a 1950s-style diner that has retained its original soda counter and stainless steel chairs. The food, service, and prices are fantastic. They offer a complete menu, and I particularly enjoy the breakfast options.

I visited Oasi's restaurant for breakfast. Prices are cheap, two breakfasts with coffee and an apple juice. $20 including the top at 20%. It is a 'mom and pop' restaurant with the 'mom and pop' style feeling. The waitress was very nice and friendly, my coffee was always full. If I'm ever back in Freeport for breakfast, I suggest going to the Oasis restaurant!

A great small town cafe that I have been going to for over 55 years. Food always good whether breakfast, lunch or dinner. Original booths, same owner, and staff that has made their career working for Don.
