City Spiseri - Fredrikstad

On January 21st, 2022, I visited this restaurant right before closing time and it was a disaster. They completely botched my pasta dish and left a heavy lump on my plate. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, there was no acknowledgement or apology. I ended up leaving a full plate of food untouched and still had to pay full price. It was a far cry from the perfect evening I had experienced on my previous visit. I hope they have a real chef working there now. In contrast to my previous skeptical review, this time I had a terrible experience with the food. It's a shame because it used to be a great place with authentic Italian cuisine. I would not be surprised if the rats and pigeons were the ones enjoying the leftovers instead.

Really good food, the Spanish cook is really good! the bad thing has changed the menu 3 times since september and some nice dishes they had gone.

Central location. Good interior (you have to be sitting on the corner room with glass walls and antique lamps). Decent food.

Bra service, god mat, men rekesmørbrød med reker i lake er litt skuffende og drar litt ned. Trivelige og lyse lokaler med fin utsikt, prisen er helt grei, med unntak av rekesmørbrød.
