Bertels Kager - Frederiksberg

I went here to eat brunch via a Sweetdeal I had bought for me and my brother. The staff is not very polite, nor welcoming or friendly. They make you feel a bit uncomfortable and they weren’t smiley or polite towards you. The food wasn’t great either, so this is not at all worth the money. All in all, this is definitely not a place I will recommend and not come back to again.

Returning after a superb daytrip to Fredensborg and Frederiksborg Castles we finished the day’s fare at this grand dessert place. Perusing the large variety of offerings, what we had was delicious. With a latte and cappuccino, it was a satisfying wrap.

A really solid experience! The only points down goes to the waiter and the short options on the menu. Except from the waiters strange way not to greed and welcome the clients so well and the fact that you can’t pick much from the menu card was the only downside. The food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was one of the best I’ve seen for a brunch. It helps your appetite but the master piece of the brunch is the great combination of flavours and small dishes you got to enjoy. I really liked that you had a little of everything and it was so well done to the end! Would recommend the place to offer some kind of soft drink to your brunch menu. A little glas of juice or tea would make a huge difference and give some cheap points instead of ripping your pockets on the drinks menu. Don’t cheat yourself from the Belgium waffle it was out of this world! How taste and crispy.. I will for sure be back, as I noticed the cake selection and if they are half as good as the brunch it won’t disappoint you.

First of all the service is very bad, we went there and were turned away even though they had a cafe full of empty tables, the owner was very rude when doing that as well. He said we should read better and should have called to order a table (mind you in an empty cafe). Another time we went we actually tried their cakes, they were bland, tasted similar to each other and were very overpriced for what you get. I would not call them proper cheesecakes. One of them tasted old, even though they cost more than 50DKK. We wont be going back there

The most delicious cheesecake in Copenhagen! We arrived before they opened but the owner was kind enough to invite us in and let us order some cheesecake to go. We will be back!
