Rita's Italian Ice Frozen Custard

If you love Italian ice, this is the place for you! I'm not a huge fan of it, but their eccedent ice cream is also delicious. During the first week of spring this year, anyone with their app could get a free Italian ice cream. My sisters tried the cotton candy and unicorn flavors, while I opted for mango. They were all tasty. I also tried their cookie dough flavor, but unfortunately it didn't quite work for me in an Italian ice cream.

Our experience at Rita's was fantastic, a delightful treat after our hike. The walk-up window service was quick, friendly, and efficient. They offer incredibly smooth and creamy custard in vanilla, chocolate, or swirl flavors, along with a wide selection of Italian ice creams that are updated daily. It was tough to decide between the ice creams and custard, so I opted for both in their signature gelati, which featured alternating layers of custard and ices. I chose vanilla custard and lemon ice cream, and it was absolutely delicious! They also have a "concrete" option, which is a blend of their choice of custard and various toppings. I returned later to try it and it was just as delicious as before.

Tried it for the first time and it was delicious. Who would have thought that ice cream and custard could go so well together?

I’m from South Philly originally and I like to think I know good “wooder ice” (as we call it there) and Rita’s is the best! We love the variety of flavors and customer service is top notch! Always a smile and prompt courteous service. I just stocked up before they close for the winter. Looking forward to openig Day 2022!
