La Botana - Franklin Park

I celebrated my graduation last night in this excellent restaurant. Well we had a tremendous evening and the restaurant was surely the reason for the outstanding evening. The crew participated in a pleasant style, the food was yummy and my guests were extremely thrilled. We shall surely return for more joyful events. thanks very much.

Today, I had lunch here with a coworker. I ordered the taco dinner with steak tacos and enjoyed a couple of margaritas. The service was outstanding, and the drinks were just right.

This restaurant is a local gem in Franklin Park! I try to stop by La Botana at least once a week for their delicious food! I love their tostadas de picadillo, and their tacos (especially on Tuesdays and Sundays when they're only $1 ! The food is made with the freshest ingredients, and the staff is always friendly. :

The soda was flat, the food was dry, and the steak tasted old, as if it had been cooked a long time ago. My girlfriend never received her rice and beans, and I forgot to mention it. When I tried to tell the waitress, she didn't understand English. We couldn't wait to leave; the waitress had to make our food, and then the cook walked in, washed his hands, and started handling the food. There are much better Mexican restaurants out there. I'm very disappointed.

I wasn't particularly impressed. The rice was undercooked and served cold. However, I did appreciate the assistance of the kind elderly lady who was helping out.
