Sopapilla's - Franklin

We are here from Florida. My husband is getting a stem cell transplant at the VA. He is originally from Arizona and it made his day to taste authentic Mexican food. The staff was outstanding and even added the military discount without us mentioning a word.

Great restaurant that makes everything fresh including their tortillas. It is New Mexico style food. We ordered the dip sampler, beef/chicken/shrimp fajitas, street tacos, fish taco, shrimp taco, stuffed sopapilla, and regular sopapillas with honey for desert. We will come back for more.

Enjoyed our evening. Had great service with Maria who made excellent recommendations and made us feel welcome. The atmosphere is nice. Great outdoor patio when the weather's nice. And the food is excellent especially for Mexican food in Tennessee. The fajitas were prepared very well. I would highly recommend a stop in at sopapillas if you enjoy Mexican food the way it's supposed to be done.

Sopapilla's was a good spot for lunch. The chips and salsa are excellent. The street tacos were very tasty even though they were on the smaller side. I had a cucumber margarita which was tasty.

Friendly, attentive servers. Clean environment. Mom and my sister really enjoyed the food they ordered. I had the 21 day aged beef fajitas and for the cost I expected a bit more of it plus it was very tough/chewy. About a bottle cap of gauc and crema came with it which again was too little for the price. Was also hoping for house made tortillas but they were standard fast food style.
