Chuy's Tex-mex - Franklin

We were looking for something really good and not super heavy. I kind of wanted Mexican food so I thought we would try Chuy’s. It was a really good choice. It is Tex-mex and the flavors were great. The creamy jalapeño dip is the bomb. The salsa is so fresh and bright. I had the Baja shrimp tacos and my husband had a fajita chicken burrito with “boom-boom” sauce. My tacos were good, however my husband’s burrito was awesome. That boom-boom sauce is so good. We sat Al fresco and it was fantastic. It was a great atmosphere and actually very relaxing and fairly quiet. It is close to a very busy area but we really couldn’t hear the traffic. The staff was really nice. Really a nice date night without spending a lot of money.

Place was great! Our waiter was spunky, attentive and very courteous! We will request him again. We dont remember his name, but he said he was Puerto Rican!! He was on our drinks and made good suggestions! The Boom Boom Sauce was GOOD!!! My wife had the chuychanga, I had the in your face burrito fajita.We will definitely return!

Had dinner on Valentines day! Great food and service! Loved their fresh chips and salsa.

I kept seeing a full parking outside this place when ever I pass by, so I decided to try it out. We called up and made a reservation. They greeted us well and gave us a table very promptly. We loved the ambiance of the place. They have different themes inside the restaurants for seating areas. That was well decorated and maintained well. Coming to the food the portions were huge and good enough for a stomach full and sharing. I felt the food could have been better. It was lacking a bit of flavor. Firstly it lacked some good spicy on the burritos. They have different sauces on the menu to try out. We excepted a little spicy on our dishes and that would really make the food delicious. I would say the must try out dish is Tres Lesches cake. This was delicious to the core. Overall it’s a good place to have some Mexican food.

Had a great lunch at Chuy's today. Chips and salsa are great here. You get two dipping sauces. One is a ranch type. I'm not sure, but it's really good. I ordered the Elvis Presley Memorial combo. Lots of food on this. Three different kinds of enchiladas, a taco, some kind of nachos and cheese, refried beans, and black beans, it's a lot. Finished it. Probably should not have because I got really full! This place is usually packed, but we got there at open today. So there was plenty of parking. The parking lot is one way, so be careful driving out so that you don't go the wrong way. The staff are polite and quick. Prices are not too bad either. Good value for your purchase. Overall, I had a good experience and will go back again. I do recommend.
