And yes, this small cozy restaurant is a gem in Leipziger Straße! I tried rawon, as she said it’s very delicious! I did not regret ordering it one bit. We drank all the soup until the bowl is dry
We are native indonesian and fell in love with this place. Its homey, clean but also warm, reminds us with hows Indonesian small restaurant depot looks like. I tried Sup Balado (love the spiciness especially in such cold weather of the city) and Sate while my friends had Nasi Goreng Mawut, Mi Goreng, Wayang Special Dish, and Dadar Jagung. They are all just delicious, we are so glad to find this place in the middle of all european cuisine.
The service is top notch even though there is only one person working the table. The food is average, but I am a hardcore Indonesia foodies, so it may be great for non Indonesian. When we were there, there is another table of German gentlemen and they seemed to really enjoy the food. For an Indonesian, the food needed more spices and flavor. We ordered Gado-gado, chicken satay, rending and nasi goreng(forgot the actual name). The only one that met my standard is the Teh Botol, now that's genuine.
Order and delivery. Very fast. The portions were plentiful and both vegan dishes were totally delicious! Additional plus: The dishes in which the food was delivered can be used again. It wasn't the last order!
Very delicious, authentic Indonesian food. Small but very nicely furnished restaurant. Very recommended.
