Weinstube im Roemer - Frankfurt am Main

Although it is in a very visited tourist location, the food is surprisingly good and the service is fast and fair. However, do not expect surpluses and that you will feel like a desirable guest.

Here in the middle of the very busy and tourist roemer for early dinner. Huge portion of pork carving, salad and pumice. The pork also knochle from the bone with mascara and sauerkraut. With a bottle of local wine very reasonable...and pleasantly served by the charming waitress

Great location on Roemer square next to the town hall. The menu had classic German and Frankfurt specialties with very reasonable prices. Also some items on a children's menu. The quality of the food was average and the service was good. Outdoor seating can be observed...relax during activity on the square.

This is another go to place for the locals (next to Old St. Nicholas church) – my friends had their combined 140th birthday celebration there couple of yeas ago. It’s has been my go to place whenever I’m in town. I like their dark furniture that brings good atmosphere; delicious foods and drinks that feed an hungry belly and satisfy thirsty mouth.The crispy Hock wine is my favorite, a specialty of the region (hockamore, Hochheimer …). Queen Victoria faves it too – hock is British term for German white wine, or specifically Rhine white wine. The restaurant now adds small plates which is great, which is what I’ve: pork, cucumber salad and hand cheese with music.Handcheese is one of my faves. They top it with diced onions – which is the music refers to – passing the gas – Germans do have some humors. Ha ha ha. I enjoy the restaurant very much, except the fake tulips – it’s a turn off but their foods and service make it up.

Im Laufe unseres Frankfurt-Besuches sind wir auch in der Weinstube gelandet. Bei tollem Wetter konnten wir draußen in der Sonne Platz nehmen und einen leckeren Apfelwein genießen und hatten einen schönen Überblick auf den Römerplatz. Bei unserem Besuch war dort gerade der 60. Schützentag und somit hatten wir auch noch tolle Unterhaltung. Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert.
