Weinsinn - Frankfurt am Main

I was on a business trip in frankfurt and was too hospitable. I have the complete six cursor tasting menu with wein pairs. eating was absolutely excellent. unbelievable mackerel courses and also the lamb and spasm dishes were really hanging out. my only complaint... I'm not crazy about the cry couples. really nothing to write home (fairly nondescript gruner from kamptal and a maconnais, that was nothing special.) my only recommended would therefore be just the tasting menu without having to get wine pairs. all excellent experience!

We visited this restaurant last night, the service was superb, the food and wine were second to none! I would highly recommend this restaurant, intimate setting and lovely atmosphere.

Probably we wouldn’t be writing this review if it wasn’t for the way how our discovery at dessert was handled... We found a small white larva crawling around our small dessert. Given that we already ate everything it, it was a very disappointing discovery putting...quality of all other food we ate before. The food we had rated before was great, but the way of this “discovery” was handled was really bad. Instead of apologising and taking this into account when calculating the bill, we were informed that “this things happened” and “we have a background door opened to the backyard and get flies”. Well... this is definitely not what you want to hear. Especially from a place that want to be ranked with a Michelin star... Also, we’ve been always asking to have our glasses filled with water as the waiters didn’t really notice that we lacked the water. We didn’t demand the bill to be reduced to reflect the “discovery”, but it should have been definitely taken into account... Food was great, but because of this incidence I’ll not recommend this place and will probably always tell this story. Sorry

Not much to say than excellent. Especially the atmosphere was highly relaxing since there is only a limited number of tables. We went for their wonderful four course menu paired with superb wine. Such a lovely evening! Make sure to reserve a table in...advance. We‘ll dine here again.

This restaurant has received rave reviews. I am sure it is good for western travellers who would rather see their food than eat it. If you want to see how food should be presented and how small portions should be over priced so that no...one complains, this is the restaurant for you. The portions make the word small look large. Their selection make the word selection blush. There is just a fixed menu you choose from. Vegetarians beware, this is JUST NOT FOR YOU! It serves decent wine, tasty food but please go there with a partially full stomach. I was with colleagues, they liked the food for sure, but it was served painfully slow. One colleague left with me, and both of us went to a diner around the corner to have a Pita Sandwich just to fill us up! Sorry Weinsinn, I know you guys try really hard but its not for folks like me.
