Vivace - Frankfurt am Main

I got foccacia for take out a few times (with sweet potato and feta) and it was really good. However, the owner is so cocky and sets off such an unwelcoming vibe made me feel uncomfortable every time I waited for my food to be warmed up. That's why I decided to not go anymore.

I had the best salad in vivace that I have ever had. Luckily I had been in for breakfast and was so impressed I went back for lunch. The staff were lovely and as I was travelling at the time I needed to charge lap tops and phones at the same too which was a bonus but the food was literally outstanding!!!!!

First time we went here we loved it. Amazing salads for both me and my girlfriend, good focaccia (not really focaccia but quite good still and quite good drinks (lemonade and maracujashorle(sp? both with fresh mint . Good enough that I was convinced I had posted a review about it. Second time I opted for the pasta and was still really good, and have to say the service was superb. Super friendly girl in the staff and the owner was quite nice as well. Then my girlfriend tried once a salad as a takeaway and was severely unimpressed. After going there sometime after we noticed the food was not so up to par anymore, despite the short time since opening. We still continued going there at least a couple more times as we liked the atmosphere and the staff, but this last visit was a bit too much. All changed this last time, with simple things that I find unacceptable. First I found a bit weird how quick the meal was brought to us, usually took a bit more, bad sign specially when ordering pasta, but maybe was all in my head. It was actually so fast that we had to wait 10m for the drinks to come, and when they did were not what we ordered. We kindly explained that to the waiter (a girl I had never seen there it was not what we ordered and she followed to insist it was. After a bit more of talk she took the apple juice back to bring the maracujaschorle we had chosen and paid for. To our surprise what came was a sorry, small, no mint, nothing, version of the maracujashorle that they were serving everyone else. Maybe she disliked my beard ? I would've complained (again but was so annoyed with the food that simply gave up. The salad my girlfriend ordered was nice enough, wasn't it for a piece of bread just hanging there. So much for toasting it with some nice favour as we had in the first times. Just a piece of bread. Uncooked, nothing. Worst was my gnocchi... I will only say that I don't go to restaurants to eat reheated food. And the marrones that accompanied it were completely disgusting. I love marrones boiled, baked, fried, I have no idea what that was. Such a shame from a place to which we had become regulars, will never set my foot again. And a tad unfair to the nice staff that we initially met...
