Iron Furnace may just be my new favorite brewery in NH! My boyfriend and I stopped here randomly on a trip up to Vermont and could not have been more happy about our visit. The brewery has a ton of indoor seating as well as the cutest outdoor set up with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs. We each got 2 beers, summer peach ale and stubborn phool for me, the oreo cookie stout and brown ale for my BF. All of the beers were fantastic, there was not a miss in the bunch. We also ordered the pretzel bites which cake with some of the best mustard i've ever had! I can't wait for my next trip to Iron Furnace!
Let me start with the Pulled Pork The Wendy . The Bbq sauce puts this sandwich over the top! A must have. The bonus was, I met Wendy! Wonderful person and a BBQ master. Their beers are authentic and very good. Can 't go wrong with any time of the day meal.
We came here as a group of six mid-afternoon. Upon getting up to the bar, We were greeted by a barmaid with an incredibly bad tude. Initially I thought she might have been overwhelmed, but that wasn't the case. Dealing with an evil eye at me for no reason I also witnessed her snapping at other staff. She Got the list of beers we ordered wrong, borderline arguing about which beer was which. Couldn't tell us which one was which, and she was the one who poured them. Bottom line, the beer is great, but the bar service is not.
Highly recommended. Great hangout spot with good vibes and food and service. The menu is just a bit limited, if they would offer a little more this would be an easy 5 star. I appreciate that they have gluten free bread available.
