The Castle Inn - Framlingham

We stopped in here on a blustery autumnal Friday following a walk with dogs around the grounds of the adjacent castle. We received a walm welcome and we're seated quickly with menus offend and specials/exceptions explained. Prices are very reasonable and service is swift. We had a hot meal which was exactly what was needed. The only downside soup of the day was clearly cup a soup, whilst warm and tasty, it did leave something to be desired. Otherwise food ordered was excellent. Possibly best to visit during more popular times than an off season Friday lunch. Vegetarian options: Cheesy chips and onion rings ordered as a warming lunch were delicious

Nice pub for an afternoon meal. Good had generous portions and was decent. The salad was fresh as was the bread for my sandwich. Loads of bacon in the blt. Onion rings could have been a bit crispier and the salad needed a bit less dressing but overall it was a great meal. The out door seating is lovely with nice views of the castle. I had an excellent dining experience at this lovely country pub. The food was fantastic, and the staff were all friendly and attentive. The price per person ranges from £10 to £20, which is quite reasonable given the quality. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well. I highly recommend the Chicken Bacon Burger and the Fish and Chips. As for parking, there are plenty of options available, including a free parking lot, a paid parking lot, and free street parking.
