El Agavero Tulum

Amazing! Everything was great…the atmosphere, drinks, food, service, and presentation. We went there for my birthday and we were happy we chose this restaurant! The waiter explained the menu and specialties of the restaurant. The three of us ordered different dishes and shared, all of the food was amazing! The price was not bad at all considering the atmosphere and quality of food. I live close to this restaurant so I will definitely be returning regularly!

Delicious food and beverages with nuanced flavors. Got the rib eye with mole and the meat melted in my mouth. The Oaxaqueña “margarita but with mezcal” was also marvelous. All was served quickly with friendly and doting staff constantly checking in, and cleaning and clearing the table. Some spoke English. The waiter comped us a dessert to help us celebrate our anniversary helped us get a taxi. The eatery is ridiculously chic and meticulously decorated setting with a deejay. We ate in a fun balcony area that looked like a bird’s nest perched above the main floor. Though novel, it was hotter up there and we had to use the menus to fan ourselves. That’s OK the restaurant values being eco friendly. So no air conditioning. There were also mosquitoes, but while we were there they set out these containers with burning coals and some fragrant herbs to keep away the mosquitoes smelled great and added to the ambiance. Also outlets near eating areas for those who need to charge phones you know for Instagram and TikTok. Yes it was a splurge and the price is on the steeper side but we were charged just as much in the “zona hotelera” in the Parque Nacional where we are staying, for lemonade and tacos. Would come here again to check out the other food.
