Creperie Gwel Kaer - Fouras

We chose this restaurant because of its TripAdvisor rating but it was one f the worst dining experiences I have had anywhere. The girl that seated us was bubbly, friendly and efficient. She spoke some English and was very pleasant. The lady who took our order was also very courteous and cheerful. Everything was going well and the drinks came without delay. A short time later my daughter's order arrived but no sign of ours. We waited and waited, by now my daughter was well finished. Occasionally the passing staff would acknowledge our waiting saying it would come shortly but it never arrived. I called the girl who seated us and she explained the kitchen were very busy, to which I responded that therefore that either more kitchen staff were needed or less seating. We waited again. Another man came out explaining in French, I reiterated that the wait was unacceptable and asked for the bill. Another waitress intervened, clearing my daughter's plate saying the kitchen was very busy. She then had a giggly exchange in French with another customer sitting above our table on the outer balcony...how rude. Insult to injury. Some dish arrived out but no way was I going to remain and eat the food. This waitress intimated that it was free and I should stay and eat it anyway. I think not.

Great Breton restaurant with a seaview, good choice of buckwheat and sweet pancakes. Kind and fast waiters. A little pricey but worth checking out.

Couldn't fault this lovely creperie. Fast friendly service at peak time lunch. Very clean with a great choice of fillings, both sweet & savory. Very child friendly. Just across from the beach with an excellent view of the fort etc.

Arrived in Fouras after a long drive and needed somewhere to eat and relax. Very welcoming,and excellent gallettes and crepes. Sunset over the bay. Eating in the conservatory part at the front,almost like being outside but not. Reasonably priced.

Nice restaurant but overprised and not the best in the area. Traffic in front. Simple. Really like chassic franch food.
