Shabuya - Fountain Valley

Our first time trying shabu here and the lunch special was amazing all you can eat deal. Our server Leilani was so amazing and very attentive. Recommend here for all you can eat shabu experience.

My family and I decided to make lunch plans before halloween and it was our very first time at shabuya, and our server Leilani was just so amazing and extremely helpful. She gave us a run down about everything on the menu without hesitation, she was knowledgeable about the broths meats that she recommended for us (which were super delicious). Leilani was super attentive and constantly made sure we had everything we needed. She greeted us with a smile and made us all feel so welcomed. We all agree she gave us the best dining experience for our first time at shabuya. Extra brownie points for her cute costume. thank you Leilani!!!

Food overall was good like always. But our sever tonight had an attitude. Diane was in such a cute my melody costume. Although her costume was cute, the service she gave us wasn't. She spoke to us across the table with a loud full house. I did ask her to speak to my boyfriend and I for orders, to keep things clear with a large party. But she continued to speak to us across the table. She rarely checked in on us the last time she checked in with a 15 min warning. asking if we wanted to order more meats but we were done. before we could tell her we wanted the check she walked away, and disappeared for 20-30 mins. the busers cleaned up the whole table by the time we got out check and our cake and birthday shout out. There was also another table seemed to have a problem as well tonight. Thank you to the busers and the other sever that were able to help us.

Today, my family went out to eat with 3 people. The meat today was very fresh and delicious. I was served by a waiter named Dennis today. I am very pleased with Dennis's service. He was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. In the future, my family will definitely come back here to eat.

TLDR Affordable AYCE hot pot with good meats and broths. Also has some drinks you can purchase. No reservations, so plan ahead and get on the wait list when they open. Exterior 5/5 Corner of the parking lot shared with other businesses it can either be full (and you need to walk from a distance) or you get lucky and park close. It gets pretty busy close to rush hours so plan to park a little farther so you don't have to fight for a spot right up front. There are a couple benches for outside waiting since wait can be long. Interior 5/5 Small waiting area as soon as you walk in with some benches. You have the Yelp Wait list device for you to enter your name (but I like to just use my app which I recommend you do the same). It has some nice lighting in my opinion, and the ceilings are high so I don't feel like I'm smothered in the steam from the broths. There are a bunch of different tables throughout booths and tables as well as booth table mixes. Booths tend to be for smaller groups, tables and booth table mixes for the bigger groups. Service 5/5 They are generally pretty quick but you see them running when it is busy time. All the people I had were super chill and hauling broths, appetizers, and drinks all over the place. They start you off by seating you, then asking what broth you like as well as any drinks. Once you pick those they will ask what meat you want. You are free to pick the veggies, sauces, and other non red meat options at the large table spread (fish, seafood). Order 5/5 Since it's all you can eat I won't go into every single option. I like getting the Tonkotsu broth and adding some garnishes to it like garlic, yuzu, and cilantro. From there you can't go wrong with any of the meats (I tended to like the beef options and opting for the more fatty ones). They are cut thin so they cook really fast. There is a large assortment of veggies and seafood to pick from as well as sauce bar to custom make a great dipping sauce for your hot pot (or do multiple). I also like their capri soju options electric lemonade is my fave. It comes in a large caprisun looking bag with a little light in it. Overall 5/5 My go to for all you can eat hot pot. The lines can get super long so I advise getting there early and putting your name down. You need to have your whole party to be seated and sometimes the line can move fast. Just don't come too late or the wait list might be capped. I don't blame the place for being busy with around 30 bucks for all you can eat hot pot, the place is a great deal. Hint Make sure to get there early to get on the wait list last I heard no reservations and wait list can close.
