Along with three dear old friends, I had dinner at the farm Fiori di Zucca Saturday evening and then stayed on the spot. Dinner composed of 5 appetizers (including the excellent and original caponata with pumpkin instead of with eggplants), generous bis of first, second of stracotto with baked potatoes and pleasant dessert tris. We also asked for a prosecco to start the dinner and then 2 bottles of Barbera D'Asti Superiore DOCG 'La Mota ' proposed at an honest price. We found the room spacious, perfectly clean and equipped. Breakfast 'fait maison' with fresh cakes, yogurt, jam, etc... Everything (dinner, overnight stay and breakfast) just over 60€ per head.
We stayed here (my wife, our son and I) in the third decade of August 2021. The farm because of this it is, restaurant seems to me in fact reductive you reach along the provincial from Bra to Cuneo, a few km after Fossano, and leaving it for a couple of kilometers on a neighboring road that connects the farms close to the area of hydrogeological protection Sergio, one of the owners, will forgive me any inaccuracies of the river Stura. The owners will welcome you with warmth, in an area of absolute and unparalleled silence, offering you spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, rich breakfasts (with possibility of tasting of 4/5 desserts, all homemade like fig jams, green pumpkins or strawberries, as well as cream made with their hazelnuts) and, on weekends, possibility of lunch or dinner (on Sunday, only lunch). Let's talk about Saturday's dinner 21/8. Let it be enough to say that we ate well beyond satiety, with sliced, caponata, pig with red onions, tunaed calf, carrot flan with cream cheese, spaghetti on the guitar, roasted hazelnuts (sublime), bis of sweets, coffee and wine of the house (Dolcetto). Cost: 60 euros in three. The whole is broken by advice on walks, short excursions (beautiful the mountain bike route in the neighboring woods) and medium long wines and pleasant exchanges of views on the most various topics.
