Contribuiți la feedbackWent here on a Monday night a while ago and had delicious skewers and bao buns. This is a fun restaurant and bar to go with friends and its a place to stay a whole, with booth-type tables against the cool art mural wall. The drinks were very cheap too!
Had a Groupon dinner at this restaurant last Saturday. Located at Duncan Street of Chinatown mall. Lay out expresses vibe of contemporary Izakaya and it is good for small group gathering and parties. Followed the set menu and the first lot of food came to the table was Edamame, Zaru Tofu and the Salmon & Avocado rice paper wrap. I love all of them. The Tofu was the first time that I had and it gave me refreshing soya bean taste (4/5). In addition, the salmon & avocado matched each other, particularly with the elasticity from the rice paper that retain the time of matching taste of mixed protein and veg. in the mouth. It is a very clever invention (5/5). The next lot of food was the Kushiyaki set which consists of three different skewers, chicken, pork balls and chicken balls. I have no problem with their skewers as they should be the signature dish of this Izakaya due to the name of this eatery is Yakitori. All the proteins of individual skewers come with individual character and juicy meat texture (4.5/5). The next lot of Deep-fried chicken wings and calamari was slightly let down. Calamari was tendered but the chicken wing was too salty and the idea of this lot lack of "wow" effect (3.5/5). However, the dessert of Yuzu sorbent deserved a big TICK, the sourness od the Yuzu and the cold sweet taste from the sorbent really cleaned up all the grease left over from the deep-fried chicken wings and calamari, well done (4.5/5). Overall, much appreciated that there is a Izakaya serving something that reserve the spirit of Japanese food with nice contemporary presentation. Cheers! You got the key for the door of success.

Wow this place is fantastic!! Tasty food, really interesting cocktails, excellent service. Such a big improvement on what used to be in this space in Chinatown!
Some of the best Japanese food I've had. The Ramen was full of flavour, the Gyoza were excellent and light, the Chicken Teriyaki was simple yet tasty, and the Chicken Karaage also great. The crockery the food is served in is spectacular, especially the Ramen bowl. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.
