Montgomery Street Cafe - Fort Worth

My husband and I were in town for a concert in Dickie? Arena and were in the area. We went to Montgomery Street Cafe because we always try to visit local restaurants when we travel. This is an old school diver and it was obviously many of the cartridges were regular. We tried one of their lunch specialties, which was very favorable. The food was good, but the service and the atmosphere were exceptional! We would like to come back alone for these reasons.

My son took me here never been before and probably drove by it a thousand times in 30 years I?ve lived here. It is a hole in the wall restaurant except it isn?t! Retro atmosphere, cozy with friendly staff. I had the best cooked omelet I?ve eaten since I was in the service. Great food and reasonably priced. Most notable was the mix of people eating here all types; people with money, people without all enjoying the breakfast. I?m coming back and can recommend this little cafe to everyone.

If the food is as terrible as some people claim, why is this restaurant always so crowded whenever I visit? The staff isn't rude, they're just busy, so let's be a bit more understanding. The breakfast is fantastic! I loved the biscuits and gravy, and the over-easy eggs were cooked to perfection. I'm not great with crowds, but the cozy dining setup didn't bother me at all in this setting. I didn't have to wait long to be seated, and it was definitely worth it. I'll be back soon!

My go-to spot for breakfast. They serve perfect poached eggs and the best biscuits and gravy around. Be sure to try the butter beans with lunch on Mondays! Plus, the staff is the friendliest you'll find anywhere.

This place serves the best breakfast and chicken fried steak in Fort Worth. My mom used to work there before I was born, and I don't believe it's changed much since then.
