Cousins Bbq - Fort Worth

The food was excellent and the location was very convenient. Although the prices were slightly higher than average, it was worth it.

I had not been to Cousins in years, but decided to try their takeout today. I ordered the lean sliced brisket and was disappointed to find that there was a 1/4 inch layer of fat covering the entire length of the slice, making it look like it was 25% fat. This was not my experience at other BBQ restaurants. In the past, I remember watching the employees at Cousins trim the fat off before slicing the brisket. However, the meat that was left did taste good. The fried okra was too salty for my liking. Despite these flaws, the employees were friendly and my order was ready in a timely manner.

We stopped in on a whim, and we're glad we did! We discovered a new favorite sandwich in their grilled cheese with chopped brisket. The pickled onions are mild, the house BBQ sauce is served hot, and both elevate this take on an American classic. Stop by and see why you should add Cousin's to your barbecue rotation!

I ordered the Baked potato with brisket on top so I could try the meat. It was mushy and lacking in smoke flavor I was a bit disappointed I might try them again they may have just dropped the ball on that batch of brisket

Cousins has some of the best BBQ on Texas. The happy hour is the best in town. I highly recommend this place!!
