Garrison West - Fort William

There were no huge vegan series, but enough to give a few options. had the veg burger and chips, was quite good, although not much taste added chillis. the chips were amazing!

The haggis was one of the best meals I had in Scotland. tomaten soup came with vegan butter, which is always a beautiful surprise.

We had to book here as the first night was full. separate vegetarian menu with vegan options. I ordered the roasted tomato worm with black rice, kale pesto and chickpea rice, which was superb! had cookies with vegan ice for dessert, which was quite rich but also delicious.

I wish I’d avoided the burger based on the other reviews, but we’d just returned from Ben Nevis and didn’t think anything could go wrong with a burger... But it was pretty terrible. It was essentially cooked quinoa formed into a patty. Very bland. Luckily the chips were tasty! But wish we’d opted for one of the other mains. Good to see a separate veggie/vegan menu. We arrived around 6pm on a Wednesday night and got the last pub table; the restaurant was fully booked for the night and soon there was a 1 hour waiting list for pub tables. Best to head down early or make a booking, as a lot of people got turned away.
