Contribuiți la feedbackDefinitely a wonderful place to be. I had seen Corrour in a Youtube video called 'All the Stations '. I stayed over for one night and the cooked breakfast was truly excellent. Peace and quiet are guaranteed. The only negative was the wind and rain along with the midges. So I didn 't stray far.
We didn 't spend the night, but were booked in for an early dinner after walking up on the 'road to the isles ' from Rannoch Station. We arrived just as both the weather and the midges started to close in, so we decided not to explore the area further and spent the remainder of the afternoon in the Station House, enjoying tea and cake then a pre dinner drink before our meal. There was a selection of books and games, and the place was busy all afternoon, then full at dinnertime definitely book if you plan to eat on a Saturday in summer! The food was delicious, we shared a great charcuterie board, then both had the venison stew, which was perfect comfort food. It 's worth noting that there are goods for sale, from souvenirs to useful camping equipment, including midge nets. Even for the two minutes we stood on the platform waiting for the train a midge net was pretty much essential. A really relaxed atmosphere with great food in a beautiful setting, fantastic all round.
Stay in a holiday home on corrour estate and visited to dinner, beautiful wee place with nice friendly staff. In portions were huge and the food was fantastic. in any case worth a visit.
