Mary Brown's Famous Fried Chicken & Taters

Worst chicken place ever. The person taking our order could barely speak English. We had so many problems just getting our order right. Like wow. The food was cold and tasteless. Very poor.

Although the food is better than KFC and their taters especially the tater poutine is amazing!!!! The lack of customer service especially from the apparent manager is NOT worth it. Plus there is ALWAYS at least one of their employees outside smoking. Yuck. Save your craving for a different location

First time in Marys, thought there could be a few more choices but what I ordered was fine for a fast food chicken place. Asked for fries they were out had the taters and was very surprised how good they were. Very friendly staff……thx

The place is busy, you might have a bit of a wait, but the food s worth it. The Mac and cheese is really good, the gravy so tasty. Supper for a family of four for 40 dollars is a good value in FSJ. The chicken is crunchy, not greasy and the fries so very good.

Mary Brown's opened very recently and is located in a new strip mall situated next to the Alaska Highway, within the Staples/Winners Mall area.I have now eaten at Mary Brown's on three occasions and first time, I ordered the mini Mary combo which is an all white chicken breast on a bun. The mini Mary was excellent! Chicken delectable. Second and third time, I ordered the one piece chicken with onion rings and coleslaw and a drink ( came to $8.43).The fried chicken was a touch on the dry side but still had a very good taste.The coleslaw was really yummy, very crunchy and slight vinegrette dressing. Onion rings were good and not greasy.I like Mary Brown's because the chicken is fresh and really finely seasoned. As well, you get a choice of taters, onion rings or french fries in your combo, as well, there are 3 different salads to choose: coleslaw, potato, macaroni.Being that this location is newly opened, the facility was relatively clean; however, I have concern that this fast food place will decline in sanitation as I could see that the staff was not regularly cleaning/sanitizing the surfaces as often as should be. I never understand why staff stand around chatting to each other when they should be spending free time cleaning, cleaning, cleaning (they are getting paid after-all to work and not visit with each other, which seems to be customary in this day where work is in abundance)
