Boomerang Diner - Fort Smith

We arrived at the restaurant at 11:00 AM, but when we got to our table, it was dirty. It took the waitress about 10 minutes to attend to us and finally clean it off. She then took our drink and food orders. While our drinks arrived quickly, we started to wonder about the delay with our food after twenty minutes had passed. The waitress assured us that our order was next in line to be prepared, so we waited some more. After 40 minutes without any food, we decided to leave. To make things worse, the waitress tried to downplay our wait time when she spoke to her manager. I had been texting my husband the entire time we were there, so I had a clear record of how long we had actually been waiting. Overall, we had a very disappointing experience with the service and will not be coming back.

I’m not sure if this restaurant is under new management, but the burgers have definitely declined in quality. The burger I had recently was tasteless and quite bland, and even after adding salt, there was no improvement. About six months ago, I enjoyed a delicious and juicy burger here. However, the service back then was quite poor. The waitress brought us our drinks but never came back to take our order; instead, she spent time chatting with two teenage boys in the back of the dining area. I had to ask another waitress for assistance. She apologized for her coworker's rudeness but didn’t take any steps to address it. This experience is why it took me so long to return. To make things worse, there were only two other customers in the restaurant during my visit. I've decided to remove this café from my favorites and won’t be coming back. I hope the owner realizes that their staff is pushing customers away.
