Underdogs Sports Grill - Fort Shafter

It’s a sports bar with no beer on tap. Odd. We ordered food. I’ve not had poorer food presented ever that I can recall. I ordered Calamari that was very tough and very tasteless. I think this is Calamari that has been pre cooked and likely reheated at least once if not more. It was served with a “cocktail sauce” that seemed mostly ketchup. There was also another “dip” that was mostly a melted mystery cheese… lonely Velveeta. We ordered the nachos. A nice stack with jalapeños, black olives and all but drizzled again with the same mystery, liquid cheese rather than simple, proper cheddar or Monterey Jack. Something other than cheese you could drink with a straw. Come on! We also ordered Tater Tots which is something hard to ruin. Thankfully no liquid cheese on that. All needed is salt and maybe ketchup. I hope the locals like this place but to me it was embarrassing. Really. I would never go back and never recommend it. There’s a Burger King near. Go there.

Garlic chicken broke my mouth. Nice local bar with great food .

Interesting dive bar. Very nice service. Only bottled beer.

I’m a Niner Fan. Yes, I’m not a local, but was hoping for hospitality. Each business owner needs to make a business decision. I hope they made a good decision in regards to me. All good, and will offer my friendly welcome when I meet you.
