Contribuiți la feedbackMan, they are so inefficient in how they handle things, and very much so by choice. Waited 20 minutes for a lemonade because they handle everything in a sequential order. I already paid to get into the museum and watch a show, least you can do is provide us drinks at a reasonable pace.
The shrimp salad is my go-to and I never skip the pot de creme for dessert. Everything I've tried is delicious and service is fast.
First before going, be sure to call for a reservation. Ambiance: lovely located in covered outdoor court on grounds of museum also have a few tables outside the cover if you so choose. Food: 5 star We are huge foodies so to offer a 5 star is not common for us. However, for a lunch the food and presentation of was great. Tip: if you have booked the 1:30 Doris Duke's Shangri la tour take their online advise to arrive early to be able to find parking tour the museum make a reservation for lunch at 12:30 as you have to meet at the Palm Court in the museum at 1:15. The tour is AMAZing by the way...but as an f.y.i. you also have to book tour weeks in advance.
I would say we arrived a bit frazzled from a mornings zoooming here and there..... but we were hungry. Very good lunch. Waiter was extremely helpful and friendly, on arrival were asked if we had reservations to a 2/3 empty room. It could merely have been to inquire IF we did, not that we had to have one. Just a bit artsy fratsy.... we were very thankful they did have a decent restaurant there.
The Pavilion Café is not only a lovely lunch spot set in a beautiful and relaxing courtyard of one of Honolulu's museum treats, their lunch cuisine is Asian/Hawaiian/Italian fusion, as I would describe it. It is yummy! Be sure to pre-book a table. You will enjoy your lunch, the museum and the lovely museum shop.
