La Hacienda - Fort Scott

This seems to be a small Mexican restaurant, but if you go to you, you will find a lot of seating. We had a family event (30 people) and we made reservations, we only used the back room that leaves the front for regular customers. You have a very nice menu with many options and weekday lunch specialties. You are very close to Old Fort Scott's historic centre, a minute walk and an excellent opportunity to walk from your lunch. The restaurant is located in the old city center, which is very lively with many shops. There are many free parking spaces, only on one side streets. Everyone who ate was very happy with their food. I can't remember getting more compliments on our choice of the place, even my sister in the law was happy! I can't vouch for all food, but I had cheese enchiladas with pulled beef and red sauce on top, rice and guacamole salad. It was excellent. My wife had enchiladas, beef, cheese, chicken... with guacamole, she was also happy. They serve large portions so starve or take some home. But what a restaurant does is the staff. These people were just great! It wasn't just a person, they worked as a team. They were very friendly and gracious. Quick to refill your drink and bring you everything you need. Definitely a 20% tip. I recommend this casual place and enjoy!

This food is fantastic! Warm chips and yummy salsa. Guacamole was made fresh, chunky tasty perfect actually. Pork and bean soup was black beans and incredibly tasty. Horchata was best I've ever had. This place is amazing, hidden in Fort Scott right across the street from the historic fort. Tiny entrance. Don't miss this place if you like Mexican. 2nd visit: best horchata on planet! Portions are huge! Spicy salsa is really hot. Love this place. Can't wait to drive thru Ft Scott again.
