Very good farmhouse kitchen. they also have daily specialties. it is worth the ride for a taste of home! they can eat or take off.

Absolute gem of a place good old southern cooking. Need a box of 12g shells they got ya covered. Wanna look for a new gun they got em too. Food though is fantastic.

Go Hungry, eat at Carters for lunch......never had a disappointment here until I got their already made Brisket sandwich (absolutely horrible) Meat was fatty way salty. The bread was so oily either from being buttered toasted or from the Brisket itself. Extremely disappointed but it was too long of a drive to turn around. I guess it depends on who's making it? Hopefully next time meal will be better..... Overall, some food can be good the same with service.

I won a rifle at auction from the Busch Family Foundation and had to pick it up here. The guy that was to sell me the rifle had left before I got there so I got lunch. I had a gordita and a pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent. Went back the next day and asked the guy to show me how to break down the rifle for cleaning. He showed me exactly what need to be done. Gave me some background on the weapon and basically was very patient and showed me more than I ever need to know about the operation of my new weapon. 5 star demonstration from an obviously well trained marine. In a word. Awesome! Had another gordita and a fried chicken breast. Both excellent, again. 5 stars on this place for lunch. And 5 stars for gun knowledge.
