Roadside 'que - Fort Payne

We ate the second day in town. The food was good and service was excellent! I recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Best bbq place in town, hands down. Exceptional beer selection, excellent customer service and the perfect atmosphere come together to feel this place like the small, hometown irrigation hole we never knew we were missing. 10/10 Always be brilliant!

We were warmly welcomed right at the entrance, where we received a quick overview of the menu. The food was bursting with flavor! The ribs and nachos were fantastic. We tried the brown BBQ sauce, which was a bit different but a refreshing change. It wasn't thick like traditional sauces; instead, it was thinner and had a dark vinegar base with spices that caught us by surprise. Now, onto the sides—they were not your typical Southern fare, but rather offered a Northern twist with the delicious German potato salad and green chili. The weather was beautiful, so we chose to sit on the back terrace. One of the staff noticed our bikes on the car and kindly shared a great tip about a trail at Desoto State Park. I would definitely recommend this place!

I regret to say that my wife and I did not enjoy our lunch. I ordered the pork sandwich combo, while my wife had the chicken sandwich combo. Unfortunately, neither sandwich had much flavor, and we were quite disappointed. On a positive note, the staff were all very friendly.

This restaurant is fantastic! The owners are incredibly friendly, and the food is delicious. The German potato salad was absolutely perfect, with a wonderful blend of onions and tangy vinegar. The brisket was among the best I've ever tasted, and the coleslaw strikes a great balance—it’s not overly sweet and has a nice spicy kick at the end. I highly recommend it—10/10!
