The Veranda - Fort Myers

For our family The Veranda is a nostalgic, wonderful lounge and dining experience for decades. The “old Florida” ambiance is so very special and unique.. like stepping back in time to a more genteel world. We brought our moms here every Mother's Day for years. Now that they are both deceased, we treasure the memories of dining at The Veranda. Piano music in lounge was great, just a tad too loud for the space and for conversing. Our food was tasty and nicely presented. A.J. our (young) server, did a nice job; tableside Caesar salad could have used more garlic and anchovy paste. Offering additional anchovies to top salad would have been appreciated. Love the male servers wearing tuxedos! Thanks so much and we will return soon.

Always pleased with the specials and all other menu options. Probably can't find better quality food and meal preparation in Fort Myers. The hospitality and service is always above expectation. The ambiance is great for special occasions. Still impressed with this local gem.

The ambiance is always so lovely at The Veranda and the manager is accommodating. We had Caesar salad for all which was delicious, wine and a mocktail, a vegetarian custom dish, filet mignon/crabmeat with bernaise, salmon and scallops and all were piping hot and delicious. The waiter was efficient but a bit on the difficult side by not wanting to take pictures of us annd by being a bit sarcastic but all in all it was an excellent dining experience.

Excellent experience for an intimate setting in fine dining. The food, service (thank you Ramsey) and atmosphere were just what we were hoping for. And on a rainy evening, the valet parking was a big plus.

This was a lovely evening! Food was wonderful and service top notch. I believe our waiter was Micheal (I hope! . He was attentive in all the right ways, giving us privacy but knowing when to check in. Very personable. My date and I thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be back in the future. Enjoyed a cocktail at the bar prior to our reservation. Have recommended to friends.
