Contribuiți la feedbackService was great. appetizer scallops were possibly the best we ever had, but our New York Strip steaks which we asked to have cooked medium rare but more on the rare side, came medium and very dry. Our friends had the same thing and just asked for medium and they said theirs were dry also. Very sad as we expected the steaks to be some of the best in Ft. Myers
Our first time at Cibo and it will not be the last one. After reading their menu we decided to try Cibo and we were not disappointed. Food was outstanding as was the service. We were headed to the Barbara B Man Theater for a show and Cibo is a great place to have dinner before the show. Telling all our friends about Cibo.
Cibo has always our favorite restaurant in Lee county. We have been there many times and recommended it to lots of people over the past several years. We went there Thursday, Feb. 29 with another couple. We hadn 't been to Cibo for a few months and were surprised at the changes. The decor has been updated with the ubiquitous cold grey color scheme. The lighting is terrible....cold halogen type exposed bulbs which completely destroy any feeling of warmth and coziness. The AC was turned so low we had to go back to the car and get hoodies. They 've obviously fallen into the trap of letting employees who are working and moving around, control the thermostat. Everyone was complaining about how cold it was. Service was mediocre at best and the food was average. Very, very rich. They have a lot of work to do to regain the old quality and ambience.
As former local restaurant owners we met some our previous customers here for an evening out exceptional dinner experience. We were originally sat in the center of the dining area asked to be moved over in the corner so we could hear each other’s conversation, we were able to but informed we needed to be done by 8pm no problem). Drinks wine served, appetizers ordered delivered, perfect! Entree’s served fabulous I had the Veal Chop, my husband had the Pork Chop, our friends had the Veal Marsala Lamb Chops! Perfect ! It was getting to be 7:30 pm and they cleared our plates away packed up our to go dinners, and asked about dessert. We looked at the menu truly we didn’t have any room, but it looked sounded delicious. So now it’s about 7:45 and a woman came up to the table blatantly said there’s a high top in the bar area you can go to for your desserts coffee drinks! We looked at each other and said that we were getting ready to get up as we had just paid the check. Not for anything but the next time you address a table check with your server first to see what the status is of his/ or her table… because the way you handled it was not necessarily the right way in all of our eyes! We knew what time we needed to vacate the table! Again when addressing a customer there’s a right way a wrong way, and the way you did it was definitely the WRONG way! Too bad as otherwise it was a perfect exceptional evening and service was spot on!
We went for our anniversary dinner and were very disappointed! Started with the calamari fritti, which was tasteless and rubbery. I had the vegetarian angle hair pasta which had maybe 10 pieces of mushroom and a few thin strips of red pepper swimming in oil and zero flavor. My husband had the frutti di mare and the lobster was tough and over cooked and the dish had no flavor. the warm bread was at least good. I will not return or recommend this restaurant.
