La Place Rendez-Vous Dining & Lounge

The French Onion Soup was some of the best I have ever had. Wait staff willing to substitute some of the items when possible.

Hubby and I went for our anniversary supper here. We both had NY striploin steak. Unbelievable! So tender, perfectly seasoned. Cooked to perfection. The view is breathtaking.

All parties enjoyed the entrees. We had fish, pasta, shrimp, fried pickles. All arrived hot and tasty. Service was excellent.

We were looking for a place to get pickeral, not knowing it wasn't in season. The dining room is roomy and comfortable, lots of windows, and places to eat outside in summer. (I'm told people even come in on boats!). No pickeral today but my Neptune chicken and pilaf was excellent, as was the mushroom & wild rice soup (wild rice is local) and hubby's maple mustard salmon was cooked to perfection. The veggies were tasty and a good variety. They missed serving us our rolls. I'd recommend this restaurant in Fort Frances.

Stop by to get wings on Thursdays, for wild rice soup ANY day, and they serve breakfast until 2 PM on Sundays :)
