Bistro North Dining Room - Fort Frances

It is a great little place to eat when you are staying at the Inn. They have a nice selection of food, and I think you will find yourself something to enjoy!

Located in a hotel, it is a gem of a find. This place was recommended to us by a rival hotel and we were glad they did. The staff were excellent, the facility is warm and friendly, and the food was great as well. We had an early evening dinner and even though at the start we were the only ones there we greeted warmly and looked after. The waitress was prompt and took our drink orders which arrived quickly. So quick, we were not ready to order our meals. This was no problem, and she did return promptly once we closed the menus. Our orders were taken and as we were having a good time it seemed that our food was delivered in no time at all. This of course was that we were the only ones there when food orders were taken, however, it fill with patrons quickly and the only waitress was doing a good job juggling the various tables by herself. The food was of a good quantity, was hot and very tasty. We enjoyed our stay here and would have liked to have coffee and desert but the main meal was filling enough. With equal precision the bill was presented quickly and we paid and were on our way. We would recommend this place to eat for anyone. We got what we expected and more so.

We had the pleasure of dinner at this nicely decorated restaurant, what a surprise to find this upscale establishment in a small town. They have a nice wine list and a wide range of cocktails and beer. We decided to take advantage of the wood fired grill and ordered the All Dressed pizza. It was the best pizza I've had in a long time, if ever! They have an extensive menu with a lot of interesting entrees to choice from. The prices are a little high but as far as I can tell, it will be worth the money. The wait staff was friendly and efficient and our food arrived promptly. We are looking forward to our next visit.

The Bistro North has wood fired pizza, great tasting daily specials, the decorations are rustic and welcoming, I also love the ambience. this restaurant is fairly new in town and well worth a try.

The wall of birch trees was really neat. I had a chicken dish with gooseberry sauce, surprisingly good. Hubby had the Manhatten steak and really enjoyed it. Service was great.
