Young's Café Vietnamese Cuisine

When we finished our meal, we had to ask someone else for to-go boxes because our original server never came back. Just as we were packing up, she appeared to drop off the bill without checking on us at all. The total was $60 for food, plus an additional $10 charge for an 18% tip that she had added on her own. I was under the impression that this type of charge typically applies when dining in groups of more than eight, and there were only two of us. This was unquestionably the rudest and most disappointing experience I've had. I used to live in Fort Collins and often visited this restaurant because I enjoyed the food. Now that I live in Maryland and own my own restaurant, I returned to Fort Collins for a business trip and wanted to share a meal here with my boyfriend due to my fond memories, only to have it marred by poor service. There were no apologies from our server, who acted indifferent when I brought up the issue with the man at the register, who was actually very understanding and helpful. I didn't get his name as I was in a rush to catch my flight back to Maryland, but I genuinely appreciate his assistance. As a restaurant owner myself, I believe you would want to hear about this experience. While the delicious food attracts customers, welcoming service is equally important. I gave the restaurant a five-star rating because the food was excellent, and the other server was kind. I hope the rude server takes this feedback on board and improves for next time.

The service here is consistently quick, with no long waits for food if you're in a group of four or fewer. The prices remain very reasonable, especially given the high quality of the dishes. While they can accommodate larger groups, it's advisable to make a reservation. Everything I've tried on the menu has been delicious. We particularly enjoy the rice wraps, which come with a generous amount of fresh leafy vegetables and herbs, as well as the crab cheese wontons, pan-fried dumplings, sesame shrimp, and cashew chicken. I've also appreciated their plum wine and good hot tea. Honestly, I've yet to find anything here that I didn't like.

I absolutely adore this restaurant! If I had to pick just one place to eat in Fort Collins, this would be it. The food is incredible, and the staff has consistently been friendly and accommodating. I've been dining here for years. My top choices from the menu are the chicken bowl and the sesame chicken. The portion sizes are just right, and the pricing is reasonable. I would highly recommend Young's to anyone without a second thought. Thank you for the excellent service and delicious food!

We absolutely love this restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is prompt and friendly. We always have a wonderful experience every time we go to this restaurant. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff readily offered to allow us to bring in a cake and even cut it and brought it to the table with a candle. Great people and delicious food!

I do have a concern, though—why are guests seated in close proximity to one another? It would make more sense to utilize the entire space and spread everyone out as much as possible to minimize the risk of COVID-19 transmission. I understand that it may be more challenging to clean a larger area, but it’s a necessary measure during this pandemic. I hope you consider rearranging the seating to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.
