Union Grille - Fort Benton

Ended up in this tiny amazing town. Stayed the night and had dinner. Attention to detail is amazing! From the decor to the staff, and the food was spot on.

Three friends and I had a spectacular four course dinner paired with wines. The chef, Benjamin Thorpe, came to our table for each course to discuss the food and wine. The Union Grille and the Grand Union Hotel are definitely worth a trip to Fort Benton.

We were more than pleasantly surprised at this exceptional restaurant in Ft. Benton with an amazing, innovative chef! Is a 5 star here and in most big cities!

We would not have expected that one of the top dining experiences of our Montana road ramble would be in the little town of Fort Benton! Our dinner at the Union grill, food and service could compete with our New York dining. My husband was thrilled with his black cod, perfectly cooked and presented and my filet mignon was perfect, served with delicious fingerling potatoes and asparagus. Not to mention an exquisite poached pear dessert, an excellent wine accompaniment, and the al fresco dining by the banks of the beautiful Missouri River. What a wonderful destination.
