Contribuiți la feedbackStaipo is local dialect for staple ; this was indeed an old staple wooden and rustique placed in one of the most beautiful locations in Carnia. The owner Gino is cordial and pampers the guests in a professional way. The kitchen provides dishes that are created using only local Carnia specialties such as cheese, speck, polenta and much more. The concept is: Little but good. Gino ensured that we got the wine that paired well with all the dishes. Cheese mousse on raw pears, grilled radicchio embedded in speck, cjarsons carnia type ravioli with local herbs and cinnamon super delicious! , polenta and frico wow , orzotto similar to risotto, but made with pearl barley instead of rice light and extremely tasty, pork fillet slow cooked with mushrooms super tender and tasty . Between the dishes, we could go out on the deck and enjoy fresh air and a mindblowing view. Other guests had children that played in the snow. Relaxing, authentic, and really quite amazing. At the end of such a rare and unique experience, we could answer the obvious question: Was it really worthwhile to drive the extra mile to experience this. The answer is simple: YES!
I don't want you to expect anything. But only my grandma could give me those pure home made flavoured sensations. So, please,do it for yourself and just go!

Meraviglia e bontà. Che dire... Food buonissimo in un'atmosfera di profumi di montagna. Anche la gentilezza non manca. Bravi, consigliatissimo, (ricordarsi di prenotare). A presto rivederci. Grazie
Posto tipico, accoglienza familiare, ambiente caloroso. Frico indimenticabile. Un osteria dove fermarsi assolutamente.
