Contribuiți la feedbackThis is one of the worst restaurants in Formentera. The waiter smelled of sweat and vinegar. The food tasted really bad. This experience has ruined my whole vacation. I demand a refund...no words
We decided to head to la Locanda during our trip in Formentera thanks to the nice reviews we read on this website. Directly we felt home in this little restaurant. The boss Valter, his wife and little boy are very welcoming, they don 't speak spanish very well, but that 's not a problem. They offered us to bring us a surprise menu and we accepted. We had Fish Antipasti (cold seafood salad, very good apart some Surimi sticks that were not necessary in this dish), then we had grilled gambas and also a plate of italian ham, salami, ... The main dish was seafood pasta. It was a huge pan with a whole lobster, tuna fish, little gambas and a lot of pasta. The dessert was a fresh fruit salad with some italian ice cream on top. To drink, we had a bottle of decent rosado wine and water. Total price for two : 78 euros. Apart from being a good chef, Valter offered us rental bikes at a very competitve price and also a boat trip around the island for a cool price too (we didn 't do the boat trip but we keep the idea for next year) Nice experience if you want to feel part of an italian family for a few hours.
English review: We were blown away by this place. All 5 of us were simply just looking for a decent place to eat dinner. This place looked like it would do the trick. This was by far the best dinner we had in Spain. We visited Ibiza, Barcelona, Mallorca, and Formentera. This was by far the best meal of our time in Spain...and probably of the entire 3 week European vacation. If you go to Formentera,..make sure and eat dinner here. Order the 5 course meal (might be 6 courses)...and follow it up with a shot of Absinthe. Si vas a Formentera...Asegúrese y cenar aquí. La comida de 5 platos (puede ser 6 cursos)... y seguir con un chupito de absenta.
Buenas noches y saludos de Düsseldorf Martina:
We went to La Locanda this year as we did last time. I have to say that we are special when it comes to meals because we cannot eat a number of different things. We went to visit Walter the previous day to make the reservation and to let him know about our food tolerance problem. He prepared for us a fantastic menu, starting with a seafood salad, followed by a tomato salad with delicious burrata mozzarella. At this point in time I was already full but Walter kept in cooking for us. We ended up without being able to finish all the good food he had prepared for us. All I can say is that the various dishes he prepared were just delicious and that he was all the time making sure that we were enjoying and having a good time! We find that this is probably the best restaurant in the island if you consider quality, quantity and price.
