Contribuiți la feedbackWe regret this eating experience post shopping was terrible.Following our shopping excursion,we decided to get a few dishes & sit in the sunshine outside. Gozleme spinach & cheese was ok, but that's where it ended. The tabouli was unacceptably dry - chopped parsley & green shallots. No dressing, lemon juice, zip zero nothing? How can a middle eastern cafe stuff up tabouli?? Well they can - did their lemon tree die ? No excuses if it did, as they could have saved the day by going to Coles opposite.Next was the falafel- well at least they were consistent, these were even dryer than the tabouli. No flavour, nil, I would have been better off eating the cardboard box my shopping was in.Finally, a dollop of hommus on the plate was the only moist item to ease the swallowing of the other 2 items. Moist is all that could be said about this paste called hommus. We suspect this preparation was not freshly made on the premises, but rather mass produced from a can. Having enjoyed many meals at various middle eastern restaurants in Sydney, this was the worst. My suggestion is go to the other end of this shopping strip, to enjoy much better quality Lebanese food.
We have dined at this lovely local restaurant for many years. The staff are very pleasant and the food is great. The kebabs, shish plates, share platters, grilled fish and salad, gozlames are all very tasty and well presented. Prices are great and it is BYO. Seating is inside and outside and we really enjoy going there. Ibrahim makes amazing pide and is a wonderful host.
A small restaurant in a shopping centre. A couple of tables put outside and some tables inside. Food is always good and value for money. Don't expect to pay by credit card--cash only and don't ask for a receipt.
I grew up in forestville, i remember when this place first opened, i was about 10 and my friend took me there because she was middle eastern and was shocked i never had turkish food, from then nothing beats these kebab and all there other plates, i have tryed so many kebabs i cant keep count but by far this will always be number one! So so authentic, great service!!
Galata Grill is one of the 5 restaurants my Swiss friend Antony and I go to on a regular basis for our routine-based dinners on every Sunday from 7.00 pm to 8.00 pm.We almost order the same dishes every time we go to Galata Grill; an Adana Kebab without onion and with hummus on the bread and garlic sauce on the meat for me, and a Turkish lamb pide for Antony. It's unsurprisingly always good, except last Sunday 6 December 2015 when the Turkish bread for my kebab was soft, quiet cold and under baked! Is it a coincidence linked to a new staff member who prepared my kebab or to a malfunctioning bread oven or linked to any other incident?? I will very likely know it when we will be back to Galata Grill next month.
