Contribuiți la feedbackNot only is it incredibly expensive, the food is average at best. if you are hoping to get a traditional Indian cuisine, then this won't be the place to eat. I would recommend not eating here. Staff appeared friendly enough. Throw in an extortionate 7.5 per cent service charge (which I asked to be removed) and you have a very pricey, unenjoyable, tasteless meal! Avoid.
We have been coming here for years and always had a good experience. This year was poor. The food was not like it usually is. The portions are far smaller than they used to be and the taste has changed dramatically. We ordered 2 poppadom platters to starts along with a portion of onion bhaji. These were actually okay. The bhaji’s were nice and the poppadom alright. They use different poppadum now though, it’s a mix so I believe that they’re straight out of a bag and not made on site. Then we had the mains. 3 curries, 2 which were korma and one tikka masala. All absolutely tasteless. We’ve always had the same dishes and these were bland and not very hot (temperature wise). The rice portions are smaller than ever and my son said that the garlic and coriander rice had no flavour and tasted like nothing more than boiled rice. We had naan breads with the mains. Two peshwari and one garlic. The garlic was okay but the peshwari was awful. The filling fell out of it into the bowl they were served in. There was absolutely no flavour to them and they were raw around the edges. I didn’t finish mine. We didn’t bother with pudding. The bill was £120 and I can honestly say that the £80 we spend for more of us at home from a local Indian restaurant is far superior to this. We won’t be going back to Rajinder Pradesh the next time we visit. Very disappointing.
This restaurant is not an Indian restaurant. The restaurant had a nice decoration and the food presentation was beautiful. As someone of Asian descent, it is offensive to label this as an Indian restaurant because it is not. The food was okay, but not what was expected. The menu was a bit misleading with no option to exclude ingredients, and the biryani had hard black bits in it that nearly broke a tooth (not cardamon). The portion of rice was very small, only 6 tablespoons. The prices were extremely high, and the food was far from perfect. I left still feeling hungry. The staff was not very attentive and giving customers attitude is not a good way to keep a 7.5% service charge. I suggest hiring proper Asian chefs to improve the food quality. Many customers may return if this is done. I will not be returning to this restaurant and recommend driving to town for a better meal.
When I saw the first item on the "authentic Indian" menu was chicken tikka masala, I almost chuckled. The prices were high and the portions were small.
We paid over £150 to have sides presented as our main course. The staff were not happy to have us and seemed generally disengaged with customers. This is the only place to have £6 side and £17 main curry served in the same bowl size. Their naan breads are £6 each and are still smaller and less fresher than Tesco’s ready meal naan breads. The servers did not know when the kitchen closed, and halfway through our meal, we couldn't order food! What kind of restaurant that charges atrocious prices has staff who can't be bothered to serve more food? Btw this bowl of boiled rice, dehydrated by excess microwave reheating, almost like bits of plastics, costs £4!
