Contribuiți la feedbackThe hospitality industry needs an enima! My daughters first time special graduation dinner was a disaster. We flew out and back with Georgian Bay Airways, which was great. They told us to tell the greeter that we were with GBA, and they took us to our awaiting table, as there is an arrangement with GBA and Henry's, as we are on a timeline to be picked up by GBA for our ride back to Parry Sound. It took over 45 minutes to get our fish and chips. (Agree with other report about the tarter sauce). The server said that we are busy and short staffed when I asked after 40 minutes. Servers MUST inform patrons of busy times and the situation, especially when this dinner is tied to a return flight. We just get served and I get a call from GBA that they have an emergency situation with another one of their planes, where it hit a submerged pipe at the JW Marriot on Lake Joe and was sinking. Our dinner was cut short when our pilot was standing beside us to get us back to then go and help out at JW Marriot accident. When we passed a greasy black ong haird person in a red shirt, I asked if he was the manager,, which he nodded yes. I said poor service and he grinned in a manner as if he was flipping me his middle finger. No apologies for 45 minutes to get dinner that was pre coordinated with GBA. Maybe public health needs to pay a visit as I did not see a green pass for this enterprise. So very, very disappointed and very disturbing for my daughter for a special occasion that went wrong at Henry's. GBA's situation was something beyond our control. If this is the new standard of service, in the hospitality industry when you go out, I will be staying at home.
Service was good, best part of the day was the boat ride. Pickerel and chips was below average, big helpings but it didn’t really matter. Batter was very poor and if you are in the fish and chip business guess what matters most ? . I seriously wonder if management ever eat their own product. Sad to say its all hype no substance in my opinion.
Bring your own tartar sauce! Good fish. Online Menu old from “previous owners”. They use commercial tartar (never seen that before). Appreciated gluten free fish and chips.
We went during the week for lunch and had an amazing experience. The service was quick and we were seated comfortably on the patio. They allow dogs on the patio which was a welcome change. leashed and in control by owners The meal was perfect fish, battered pickerel was our choice and the portion does not disappoint! Food was delivered hot and both the fish and the chips were cooked to perfection ! No greasy limp fries or small strips of fish, rather crisp golden fries and actual fillets of fish battered and deep fried to golden perfection . The server was friendly and prompt. The total experience makes the excursion worth the time and the cost.
Staff were arrogant and argumentative. A 10 year tradition ruined within 2 minutes of sitting down. Wish Paul was still the owner.
