Blu Beach Grill - Folly Beach

Absolutely wonderful experience all around. The view is stunning, and while the location is great, parking can be a bit challenging. The service was attentive, and the food was delicious—simple and fresh. The trio of guacamole, salsa, and queso was delightful, and the roasted cauliflower appetizer really stood out! The fish and seafood were fresh and flavorful, while the fried chicken sandwich was a generous portion that delivered on taste. The steak was excellent as well. The wine selection was well curated, and although the key lime pie was quite small, it was very enjoyable. This is definitely a fantastic spot to unwind, take in the ocean view, and savor some great food.

During our winter visit to Folly Beach, we dined at Blu Beach Bar Grill and couldn’t have made a better choice. The staff was incredibly friendly, and since we arrived when the restaurant opened, it was empty, which worked out perfectly for us. We enjoyed delicious dishes while taking in the beautiful view of Folly Beach.

Firstly, despite the situation with the private party, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and comfortable with our new seating arrangement. After everything was settled, the manager stopped by to check on us personally and asked if there was anything else he could do to enhance our experience. Secondly, the food was absolutely outstanding. My wife declared it her favorite meal of our entire trip. While I never expect perfection, it means a lot to see how a business manages difficulties when they arise. In this case, the staff and manager handled everything remarkably well. We even took pictures right after we started eating; we had each taken a bite before we remembered to snap a photo! The presentation was so impressive that we still wanted to capture it. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, even with the initial hiccup.

This is the restaurant in the Tides Hotel. The service was spot on, attentive and polite. Nice choices on the menu. Food came out in a timely manner. We don’t have one complaint. We thoroughly enjoyed our last night here at the hotel.

Steaks were decent, swordfish good, as was the salmon salad and steak skewers. Calamari was decent and nacho appetizer was basic for the kids. Outdoor and indoor dining available.... patio next to pool is a little loud and detracts from the nice sunsets. Service good for the times (summer 2021). Walked from neighborhood with street parking a few blocks away. Turtle cheesecake for desert was better than the local ice cream shop.
