Medina Bazar - FOLIGNO

What a find! This small restaurant serves the most spectacular array of 100% genuine Moroccan Turkish food. The choice was simply staggering for a small restaurant. The flavours were varied, original, mouth watering, complex, spicy (but not too hot), colourful and unforgettable. We ate a first and main course tasting plates both heaped full of a selection of varied dishes perhaps 10 different dishes on each plate (to share). Perhaps half the food was vegetarian but we didn 't even notice; in fact, the vegetarian food was if anything more enjoyable than the meat dishes we tried. The portions were generous and the two of us ate enough for four! There is no alcohol but it did not matter as their ginger infused tea was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. So, the two of us ate three courses, water and tea and the entire bill was 35 Euros. If it Had Been 70 we would have been happy! This is not fine dining instead it is the best home cooking you can imagine and the flavours were all genuine and authentic. The service was cheerful and quick and the owner cook really helpful and knowledgably: my advice is talk to her before making your choice or, if your taste is eclectic, just ask for the tasting plates. The atmosphere was great and the restaurant is decorated in a 'shabby chic ' style, that was colourful and appropriate to the food albeit there were some corners which needed organising and tidying. There is a place upstairs where there are just very low tables with floor cushions and we ate our desserts there as it was very comfortable. Bored of the same old Italian food? Annoyed by restaurants serving different nationality food but changed out of all recognition to suit the majority Italian taste? Medina Bazaar is the answer! Genuinely the best restaurant we have eaten in for several years and the cheapest!!! We have already been back.

Tutto molto buono e saporito la titolare è simpatica, forse, dico forse, i prezzi un tantino alti, anche se bisogna considerare che sono tutti preparati al momento e molto complicati
