Le Xixeme Siecle - Foix

I have been here many times and the food is always tasty and simple. Very good value and in the summer there is a terrace over the Ariege. Local business people seem to populate and that is always a good sign.

Given some of the quite positive reviews we had read on Tripadvisor, we were quite disappointed by the food in this restaurant. Very average and quite pricey for what it was. Would not return.

The restaurant is situatied adjacent to the river in Foix and has traditional decor not unlike a Parisian cafe. The 3 course Menu du Jour is around 14 euros and offers a very good choice for each course. There are various other menu options and A La Carte if required. The food is very good and with excellent size portions. The staff are friendly happy to serve and smiling somewhat a bonus in France on occasions). The restaurant is only open at lunch times Mon Fri and is very popular with local business people if you are in the area do visit you will not be disappointed.

No way to go beyond. No welcome. The restaurant being complete, we were placed at a table located in the bar room. See the size of the room that you don't know why no table was erected in advance... The waitress had the mask on two, when she didn't have an alcoholic solution on her hands. Besides, there was only one on the bar, far away. The dishes served were medium and arranged on seasonal vegetables, but we couldn't identify too much, tied up. No presentation of what served us. On the other hand, we were able to identify Picard's chocolate dessert! Very expensive for what it is, only positive point, foie gras

Good address, very well eaten at a very reasonable price. Top!
