Contribuiți la feedbackMorrocho is always delicious and so is the bread , worth the money and the employees are so nice and quick to service. Took some home because this is one of my favorite Ecuadorian stores
Good Ecuadorian home cooking, try the ceviche de camarones
When we arrived, there was a small line, but the staff was efficient and got us through quickly. I tried a torta, buñuelo, and a chicken empanada, along with some coffee. The display was well-stocked with a variety of options to suit all tastes. The only letdown was the coffee.
As soon as we walked in, the staff member at the cash register was yelling at a customer who mentioned that the bathroom was occupied, even though the door was closed. We sat down and waited, expecting a waitress to bring us menus, but after a while, my father went up to ask for them. The staff member gave him the menus in a very rude manner. After looking over the menu, my father went to ask the same staff member how and where we should place our order. The guy replied dismissively, "Where do you think? Right here." My father pointed out that he had two little kids with him and asked if they could take our order at our table, but the staff member insisted, "No, you need to come and order." Given the rudeness and indifference, we decided to leave. What kind of business operates like this? It was incredibly disappointing!
The bread was acceptable, reminiscent of Highland (Sierra) style. The coffee was quite good. However, the checkout process and the manager's handling of it were lacking; they displayed poor maneuvering skills and had no customer service aptitude. I tried a midday meal another day, which was quite underwhelming, especially considering it was a bit pricey for what it was, served with plastic utensils. The only positive aspect was the server, who was very attentive and charming.
