La Madeleine - Flower Mound

I’ve always noticed La Madeleine around the DFW area and finally decided to give it a try. The interior is charming and has a lovely French ambiance. While the food is a bit on the pricey side, I really enjoyed it. It's similar to a more upscale Panera. I ordered the La Madeleine crepe and a chocolate tart. The tart was just okay—not anything special—but the crepe (savory chicken) was quite good. I would definitely return to sample their salads and other pastries!

What sets this restaurant apart from others in the la Madeleine chain is the outstanding quality of the food and the excellent service provided by the staff and management. There's a welcoming, family-like atmosphere that makes dining here a pleasure. It truly stands out as a favorite among la Madeleine locations. I appreciate all the staff, especially the manager, whom I saw yesterday; he does a fantastic job!

After paying, we headed to the self-service soda station, but after pouring our drinks, we both decided to pour them out instead. The soda station was absolutely filthy, and the whole place had a strong smell of urine. The table we sat at looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in ages; it was sticky and disgusting. My daughter went back to the counter to ask for our food to go so we could eat at home. I ordered the Croque Monsieur, while my daughter had the creamy pasta. My dish tasted like a sponge that had been rehydrated—it was inedible. Overall, this place was simply awful.

My lemon tart and strawberry salad was great, however for the second time I received a to go order that has old spinach quiche- first we ate some and got sick, this time a friend offer to buy me dinner and I was craving the wonderful fluffy freshly cookedquiche instead I got a 10 hour old quiche. I didn?t call and complain because at this point it?s not aboutmoney- it?s about bad food service from la madeleine in flower mound..,,please don?t eat if your quiche looks like the picture.It is old and might make your tummy hurt.

While the prices are on the higher side, the food was still delightful. I had the La Madeleine crepe and chocolate cake. The tart was just okay—nothing special—but the crepe was good (although the chicken wasn’t great). I would definitely return to sample their salads and other pastries!
