1845 Taste Texas - Flower Mound

I ate here five times in one month and the service and food were spot on each time. This is an All Texas venue from the food, art, music and spirits presented at this restaurant. It 's pretty casual place but can be a fancy night out. My only gripe is that they open at 4 pm every day that it 's open. It would be a great place for lunch. If you 're not in the door within the first hour I would suggest reservations. The bar gets pretty packed also within the first two hours. Mainly from the locals living within walking distance of the restaurant. This is a great place to take someone you want to impress for a date, prom or someone from out of town. They 'll remember this place and the food. The menu is not long and tedious. They stick to the basics and do it over the top and with rich flavors. Most appetizers are for two, three or even four person servings. Order the 'Texas Expensive ' if you have group of people (at least four)... It 's not on the menu but your server can tell you about it. I 've order all of the appetizers and you can 't go wrong with any. The cocktail shrimp is my favorite. My ten yo son keeps ordering the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy. He will not order anything else. All the salads are huge, well except for the house salad, it 's more larger than normal. The steaks have been perfect and made to your choice of doneness. Drinks have been made with a heavy pour too. You will have to make room for the blueberry cobbler with ice cream. It 's the house best seller and I can see why. Once you have it you 'll make sure you order it again and even to go. We had a lovely dinner experience with a party of 11, served by two attentive waitstaff. The steaks were fantastic, while the prime rib was good, though not exceptional. The macaroni and cheese was outstanding, and I highly recommend it as a side dish. To enhance the ambiance, I think tablecloths and a more formal dress code for the servers would make a difference. Overall, I would give this restaurant a solid 4 out of 5 stars for a high-end meal.

Don't miss the pork belly! A colleague suggested 1845 while we were visiting, and we were met with wonderful, friendly service. The meatballs and pork belly were excellent appetizers. I really enjoyed the prime rib French dip, along with some of the best Brussels sprouts I've ever tasted! We concluded our evening with a cocktail on the lovely patio. It was a fantastic experience!

Thank you for an amazing date night! You absolutely must experience the heavenly peach cobbler that Devin brings out - it's like hearing angels sing! Devin is a superstar and treated us like royalty. We had the grilled chicken and Brussels sprouts, and they were fantastic. You know the food is incredible when you're both fighting over the last bite, and my husband couldn’t keep his hands off my plate! Thanks once again for providing a much-needed, peaceful, and enjoyable meal!

We had reservations for 700pm on a Saturday night and waited for quite a bit of time to be seated. The staff did a great job moving customers to a table as quickly as they could, served the waiting customers an appetizer and offered to serve drinks while we waited. There was an authentic attempt to be apologetic about the wait and to make the customers comfortable. We almost left, but so glad we did not. Once we were seated, the service was top notch. Our server was friendly and very accommodating. Food was equally excellent. Try their poblano meatballs and smoked wings as an appetizer-they are sure to please. If you arrive and the wait is a little long, it will be worth the wait!
