Perfect place for a good, affordable lunch right by the lake

Went in for their promotion of several shrimp-plates at a bargain price. The dishes were tasty and different enough (shrimp grilled with garlic, fried shrimp, croquettes, and more). Has a view of the lake, while sitting inside the rustic interior. There was even live music at the time (my local friend said they were essentially gypsies that roam around, but hey, they played some fun songs and well worth the tip). Just the traditional selection of drinks (no craft beers). Service was prompt.

Fair prices and good food. Landscape was a good surprise...

I urge you to pick any of the other identical restaurants in this strip before eating here especially if they’re even half full. Arrived 9:30pm when they weren’t busy ordered two of their basic plates, one grilled fish and one grilled chicken. After about 30 min the fish dish finally arrives.. it’s fine, mediocre at best... small piece of fish, nothing even slightly special. A waiter (we had 2 3 different ones) puts the food in between us and gives us each a plate as if we are planning to share (it is not even close to a sharing size plate). My boyfriend says (in Portuguese) we are still waiting on the chicken and the guy looks confused, talks to someone and says it’ll be right out. Another 5 or so minutes go by and we ask our original waiter about the chicken.. he runs back to check, comes back out and says sorry they ran out of chicken. He suggests the filet mignon plate and my boyfriend says fine. At this point the restaurant has gotten packed and I ask if his order will be put at the top of the list, which they assure us it will be. We are told again and again it’ll be right out when finally at 11pm we get up, pay for the one plate and leave.

Huge portions. Delicious food. Nice staff.
