The Firehouse Lounge - Florence

The food at the restaurant was average, but I was extremely impressed by the staff. We went on a Sunday during a holiday weekend when other nearby businesses were making us wait 10 minutes just to be greeted and then informing us of a 60-90 minute wait. The staff at Firehouse greeted us right away and were multitasking efficiently. We were seated promptly. As someone who works as a restaurant manager, I was impressed by the hardworking and efficient staff, even though it seemed like they could have used more help.

This is the best clam chowder I have ever had! I have been living on the coast for over 5 years and have tried many chowders, but this one is the best. The deluxe clam chowder is amazing. I frequent this restaurant often. The service can be inconsistent and the atmosphere is not the fanciest, but the clam chowder salads are incredible. That is something you can always rely on.
