Mad Mike's Burgers Fries - Florence

The hamburger choices are over and above what you normally get at other restaurants. Best burgers ever! In addition, you can’t get better onion rings. They actually took the time to pull the skin off the rings before deep frying these. Which means… When you take a bite, you get the onion and the breading instead of when you take a bite the onion comes out leaving you nothing but breading. AWESOME… will definitely return!!

Build your burger how you want it, or order one of their menu selections! I'm a simply guy, so I just get a burger with mushrooms. Always freshly made! Don't forget the fries! Two people can share a large fry! The Florence Erlanger location has a great team that is always friendly and attentive to details. Our favorite and regular local burger joint! Don't forget to tip!

12/2023 update Mad Mike's removed the sign. Since it has not reappeared I have changed my review to 3 stars. 11/2023 review I like to eat here. I was so sad when the original owners closed this shop. I was happy when it reopened and the burgers tasted the same. Hooray. It is a little pricey though, so it's a treat for my family to eat here. I saw they had a sign about a special, and I was so excited. A 1/4 lb cheeseburger , fries and a drink for $5.99!!! I arrived and waited for a person to come out of the bathroom (didn't hear the sink by the way). They were like, oh you want the special? And I said yes. They said, sorry that's only Monday through Thursday. I said oh, no! Your sign doesn't say that. Is there any way you can you do it for me this time, since there's been some confusion? And they said no, there's no button. I have run registers before just change the price. Don't ring something up. The lack of a button has not stopped me from taking care of fellow hungry humans who literally came 20 hours late for something they didn't know ended 20 hours ago. Signs that are false advertising earn 1 star from me. You are taking advantage of people at worst and wasting their time at best. Not just customers, too. I feel bad for the cashiers who have to tell customers sorry the sign is misleading. How many times do they have to tell people that? Unreal.

This was a very cool stop, and I 'm happy I made the stop! The best way I can describe this place is think Five Guys, but more creative. So many different ways to order your burger. The Goliath is 6 tall, two grilled cheese sandwiches as buns, delicious burger. The have nacho cheese and sauteed onions that you can add to your fries, but the onions lost a bit of flavor somehow. Overall, very good experience.
